The year the Titanic sank on route from Southampton, England to New York City, seven Montrealers met to purchase eighty-five acres of land in Magog, Québec. A second acquisition of fifty-nine acres was added and by 1919
The Hermitage Club had a membership of fifty-six families and awarded
its first trophy, The Perchard Cup.
Today there are dozens of events and competitions - for tennis, golf, water sports, and bridge - in age categories from 10 year olds and under to 65 years and older.
We are now over two hundred member families and span four generations.
